TALIX is a unique inter-institutional practical professional development opportunity, organized by the Center for Learning and Teaching at AUC and sponsored by AMICAL and the American University in Cairo.

TALIX will help connect faculty, faculty developers, instructional designers/technologists and librarians who are committed to supporting teaching innovation at their institutions. However, this will not be simply a 3-day workshop event. Instead, TALIX will strive to foster collaboration and communication exchange within the AMICAL community.

Participants will learn from teaching innovations AUC faculty have tested in their classrooms, and learn about how CLT supports teaching and learning innovation at AUC. On the third day, participants will choose among professional development workshops and opportunities to exchange knowledge and build collaborations across AMICAL institutions. Participants will be asked to develop and share a proposal for such a project shortly after the event (see Expectations of participants).

Organizers and contributors

AUC faculty members, the Center for Learning and Teaching team (instructional designers, instructional technologists and faculty), AMICAL participants and prominent international keynote and guest speakers.
