Maha Bali is associate professor of practice at the Center for Learning and Teaching. She has been working in the field of faculty development since 2003. She has taught ed tech for teachers and educational game design to undergraduates. She is a learnaholic, writeaholic and open, connected educator. She is the founding chair of AMICAL’s Digital Pedagogy committee and a member of AMICAL’s professional development committee. She is International Director of the Digital Pedagogy Lab (and organizer of Digital Pedagogy Lab Cairo: An AMICAL Institute, which took place in 2016). She is an editor at Hybrid Pedagogy, and editorial board member of Teaching in Higher Education; The Online Learning Journal, Learning, Media and Technology, and the Journal of Pedagogic Development. She is co-founder of virtuallyconnecting.org and a regular blogger for the Chronicle of Higher Education Prof Hacker blog and DML Central blog.
