The Center for Learning and Teaching at the American University in Cairo has generously opened up the virtual keynotes of their annual Symposium to AMICAL members.
Please note that only the keynotes are online; the other sessions will take onsite at AUC.
Curiosity, resilience, trust, and human connection have become paramount as universities worldwide grapple with the opportunities and risks artificial intelligence (AI) poses for teaching, research, and academic life. This raises pressing questions:
What is the nature of original, creative knowledge generation in a world where AI is everywhere?
What can I do in my classroom to inspire creative habits of mind?
What role do resilience and trust play in building connections with students that foster a culture of learning?
The CLT Fall 2026 Symposium creates a space to explore ideas and strategies for intentionally designing for curiosity in your classroom and building learning environments that spark genuine engagement.
