Zanré Reed
Assistant Professor
American University of Central Asia
Born and raised in Worcester, South Africa. I capture moments of action and contemplation through sound and documentary forms. Subjects in my work are often caught in-between states; between gestures of action and lucid daydreams; co-existing in-between concrete and imaginative spaces. Through a contemplative gaze of ordinary domestic life my work places a finger on our collective capacity for wandering. I work as an assistant professor of multimedia at the American University of Central Asia. I teach Photography, Documentary Film Directing and Sound and Podcast Production.
