Meetings
AMICAL holds a general meeting every year on one of the member campuses. These events give our highly dispersed members an opportunity to meet in person, learn about developments in the field of libraries and higher education, and do essential consortial work.
Annual meetings traditionally have a theme:
- 2010 (Budapest, Hungary): Creating and Managing Digital Assets: Librarians, Information Technologists and Faculty Working Together
- 2009 (Yerevan, Armenia): The Learner's Perspective -- Adapting Information Services for Today's Students
- 2008 (Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria): Learning from Each Other: Assessment and Collaborative Learning
- 2007 (Ifrane, Morocco): Integrating library and IT services for better learning
- 2006 (Cairo, Egypt): Integrated Learning: Collaboration with Faculty and Shareholders on Campus
- 2005 (Beirut, Lebanon): [Meeting focused on consortial work]
- 2004 (Paris, France): Exploring Consortial Possibilities between American International Colleges and Academic Libraries: Presentations and Workshops for the Development of a Consortium
