AMICAL Meeting 2006

AMICAL's third annual meeting was held at the American Unviersity of Cairo (Egypt) from May 31 to June 3, 2006. The theme was "Integrated Learning: Collaboration with Faculty and Shareholders on Campus." The meeting featured presentations, working group sessions, and a Technology Forum showcasing AMICAL members' innovative uses of technology. It also laid the foundation for a formalization of AMICAL's administrative structure, which eventually culminated in the ratification of the consortium's organizational documents and mission statement.

Keynote addresses were delivered by:

• Joan Lippincott, Associate Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI)
• Susan Perry, Senior Advisor for Liberal Arts Colleges at the Andrew Mellon Foundation and Director of Programs at the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR).
