Sena Maherzi

Dr. Sena holds a B.A. degree in English from the University of Manouba (Tunisia), a MA in translation (French and English), from the University of 9 Avril (Tunisia), a MA and a Ph.D. in second language education from the University of Montreal (Canada). Her research interests lie in second / foreign language education (all skills, with an emphasis on writing), and in students’ motivation. Dr. Sena has published extensively in these fields. Dr. Sena has also developed a questionnaire to measure students’ motivation to study a foreign language, based on Deci and Ryan’s self-determination theory and Vallerand conceptualization of intrinsic motivation. She is currently teaching advanced academic writing at Effat University.
