Carla Chalhoub

After earning a BA in Education from American University of Beirut in 2004, Carla joined the AUB University Libraries as a library assistant in the Serials and E-resources department. In 2008, she pursued an MLIS degree from Wayne State University and joined AUB as an Information Services Librarian providing information literacy sessions for the community. Carla advanced in her career to become head of the Access Services Department in 2012 and is currently the Social Sciences Subject Librarian as well.

Carla serves on several committees: recently elected board member in the Lebanese Library Association (LLA), appointed as the head of the LLA Copyright Committee, elected as a Coordinator for the Lebanese Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services (LIDS) Consortium and member of the AUB users services committee. She is a member of IFLA DDRS committee.
