Notes:

The use of digital surrogates of traditional library materials in scholarly activities is already changing the nature of scholarly communication, but that is just the beginning. With the rise of the web, the products of scholarship themselves are increasingly 'born-digital' networks of information. Now with emergence of cloud computing, institutions with limited resources that are geographically dispersed will be more able to participate in the process without having to make large investments in IT infrastructure. This talk will address the emerging infrastructure for scholarly communication and the implications it brings for libraries, archives and museums.
