Over the last 40 years library system infrastructures have become increasingly complex and expensive to implement and maintain. The explosion of electronic and digital content has dramatically increased this complexity. This presentation will explore the current state of library infrastructures, how cloud computing services have simplified infrastructures of businesses outside libraries and how libraries can look to take advantage of the same technical advances to obtain better more efficient management services. It will also specifically look at how this can improve management of digital collections and their delivery to end users.
