AMICALIST: AMICAL's electronic mailing list

AMICALIST is a mailing list for discussion among those involved with AMICAL (American International Consortium of Academic Libraries). The focus of AMICAL is cooperation in the areas of library resources/services and instructional technologies. AMICAL members are colleges and universities outside of North America using the North American model of higher education. If you have questions about AMICAL or the list that are not answered by this site, please contact us.

How to subscribe
This is a closed list, meaning that any request to subscribe must be approved by the list manager. If you belong to an institution participating in AMICAL and you wish to join this list but have not received an invitation email, please send an email to the list manager (amicalist-owner@yahoogroups.com). In your message, please put the following words in the subject line: subscribe amicalist. In the body of the message, please indicate your full name, your position title, and the name of your institution.

Using, managing & canceling your subscription
Once subscribed, here are some basic instructions for using and managing your subscription. If you use the links below to the list's web interface, you will be asked to register for a Yahoo user ID if you do not already have one.

Send messages
Any email sent to amicalist@yahoogroups.com will automatically be distributed to all members of this list. You may also post messages using the web interface with the same result.

Configure your subscription
You can use the mailing list's Edit My Membership page to configure your subscription, including the message delivery. If you don't wish to receive all messages sent to the list, you can opt for a daily digest version, special announcements only, or no email (in which case you can still read the messages in the web archives).

Archives
Members of the list can browse or search the archives of AMICALIST, which are not visible to the public.

Unsubscribe
You may unsubscribe by sending an email to amicalist-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com (no text necessary); note that you will be sent a confirmation request by email, to which you can simply reply to complete the unsubscription. You may also use the Leave Group button at the bottom of the Edit My Membership page.
